The yacht Mariquita, which means ‘ladybird’ in Spanish, seen here racing in the Classic Regatta in Cowes 2008. This painting depicts her chasing Mariette, from on board looking forward. Mariquita is a William Fife design and the last known survivor of the 19 Metre class and was restored by Fairlie Yacht Restorations in 2004.
