The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards invited the artist as a guest for a week to sketch and paint the area and the patrols. This painting depicts his son as a Troop Leader in ‘A’ Squadron, leaning on a Challenger II tank from his troop, which is supporting a foot patrol.
