HMS Victory entering Portsmouth on December 4th 1812

Description

HMS Victory sailing into Portsmouth Harbour for the last time.  The accuracy of the details was authenticated with the Curator of Victory, the Portsmouth City Museum and Trinity House, even down to the original dockyard paint receipts from the early 1800s.  Portsmouth City Museum confirmed the details of the fortifications and Trinity House confirmed the existence of a Pilot Cutter in their fleet around 1812.
